Dr. Batista has over 30 years of teaching private piano lessons. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and her Doctorate in Music degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Batista also teaches at Moreno Valley College and performs recitals and lecture-recitals in Southern California. She is a member of the MTAC and MTNA.

Nyomi Romero has studied with Dr. Alma Batista for12 years. She reached Level 8 of the California Music Teacher's Association Certificate of Merit Program. She has participated at the Junior Bach Festival and at the Riverside MTAC Honors Recital. Ms. Romero is currently studying at Riverside City College.
